When I follow the knight in the Shadow Ruins, he seems to just walk and then stop. Am I supposed to run through the gates beside him when he stops?
If I do this, I end up in the islands and i cannot for the life of me find a away out!
Is there a pattern to these final islands?

As far as I could tell, there isnt a pattern to those blasted islands.. but, the thing to remember is that even though they look just like the other "island" areas in this part of the game, they aren't the same. Just keep heading through doors until you get to one that has an arch built around it. You'll know it when you see it. It seems you are running in circles here, but in fact you aren't.
