A really embarrasing question

Post by Alien_Newborn »

Uhhhhh, I know this probably sounds really stupid, but can anyone tell me how to edit the stats of a weapon added by a mod? My reason is because I just found a new weapon about 35% cooler than my previous one, but the damage and durability are marginally less.

Can someone give me a hand?

I'm inclined to moan about cheating, but you know ;)

First drop the item in front of you and save the game.

Open the construction set, and load the data files for the mod (or not) that the weapon is in. The click on the weapons tab, find the name of the weapon you want to change, double click, and edit as required. The save the data files, and you should be good to go.
Just load and pick up the weapon.

UNFORTUNTELY im not sure if this will affect games that have been started already, if it doesn't, then im completely stimid (having only had the pc version of ESIII (and thus the construnction set) for about 1/2 a week ;)

Let me know how it goes?

Edit: Remember to activate your new data file in the main menu.

[/QUOTE]Hey, you try fighting a level 140 Fire Dragon with a daedric katana and THEN you can tell me I'm cheating, but anyways....

That worked really well and things are looking up. Thanks for the info. ;)
So, until next time, just keep on tranglin' along
