Watcher's keep

Post by Nitro »

Hy,
I just finished BG2 and want to start with ToB.
Now I want to take on Watcher's Keep first, with Sarevok in my party if possible. But how do I get there. I've no chance to go there from the Forest of Tyr and when I'm in Saradush I'm also trapped. Please help!

dont be too hasty to go take on Watchers keep. Chances are you wont be able to get past the 3rd level with a party that is fresh from SoA.

It really depends on your party. My parties normally have no problem finishing Watcher's Keep before going off for the Asylum.

If you like roleplaying, with full 6-people parties of "softcore" characters, you'd better wait until the end of SoA or even the beginning of ToB. Several parts of Watcher's Keep can be very challenging and you're better off leveling a bit more than being stuck on one of the more frustrating battles that await you.

Roughly, level 15 or so is appropriate for entering the Keep (depends on class of course). If you feel you can figh your way through Demons and the likes without greater problems, feel free to try!
Baldur's Gate was built for Mods! Don't be afraid!

If lvl 15 is enough to take on Demogorgon, then he must be tougher on higher levels or I'm a very poor player... ^^

But had you gone past the exp cap yet? I know I have reached the exp cap before I left to the Asylum, but it really depends on how good your party is, and how well you can fight.
