I imported my final save after defeating Sarevok in BG2 and my char, fighter lvl 7 with may hps with 19 con had now 81 hp instead of 115. I tried cgreting a complete new fighter with 18 con and it had 108 hp. I tried importing a char file, same result. Is that a bug because my char used the tome in bg1 to get +1 con?
My question is about the Tansheron's Bow +3 and Sling of Everard +5. Both needs no ammo but you can force them tu use ammo. My question is, what are the phantom ammo they are throwing, is it base ammo, +1 ammo, +2 ammo or any kind of special ammo?
Problem with importing char from bg1 and question
When you import a character into BG2 from BG1, his hit points have a tendency to get messed up. It has nothing to do with the tome. It's a common bug, at least in my experience. That's one reason why I don't bother to import characters.
As for the Tansheron Bow and the Sling of Everard, I can't remember how much damage they do, but their "phantom ammunition" is treated as +3 and +5 respectively when determining what they can hit, and those bonuses are applied to your THAC0. If you use enchanted ammo, the bonuses will stack. For example, if you use +2 bullets with the Sling of Everard, you'll get a +7 bonus to your THAC0. If I'm not mistaken, I think the damage is 1d3+7 points, but I don't think the Strength bonus applies. (The Strength bonus does apply when you use the Sling of Seeking +2.) I've read that Sunstone Bullets +2 will hit a demilich that can only be hit by +4 weapons if you shoot them from the Sling of Everard, or at least the fire damage will hurt the demilich.
I hope this helps.

I do believe however that there were problems with using some tomes, but I cannot remember which ones. My suggestion is that you make a new fighter, edit it with shadowkeeper, and export it and the old character into a multiplayer game. Then transfer the goods over and export the new character into singleplayer.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.
