Ninjutsu

Post by Peter_T »

I've yet to play a char with this skill and I have some questions of those of you who have.

Does it do comparable damage to swords?

Does increasing it make it do more damage? ie someone with lvl 7 skill do more damage than someon with level 5.

Does it have any combo moves like light weapon skill at lvl5

Not a clue sir

I am curious about ninjutsu as well. I was thinking mage/sorcerer/wizard/adept/monk would be a nice combo as long as ninjutsu doesn't suck. I'm going to start working on that now I think. Will post again in a day or two to let you know what I find out about the skill.

comparing hit to hit, a single hit of a heavy sword does more damage than a single punch but with ninjitsu you get in a lot more hits in the time it takes to make single attack with a heavy weapon.
i will say that i completed the game with a male elf ninja-lord/battlemage and i had no problems with overcoming any monsters. also, the jump kick is amazing. once your character gets a little faster he'll be able to do many kicks within one jump. about 50 percent of the time, i was able to kill a minotaur with just one series of jump kicks.

Alright, I have to agree. Ninjutsu is incredible. I'm still getting the hang of the jump kick, but the double punch/double kick combo from just standing there and clicking tears through those elves knight spirits in trial of elders.

The only downside I see with ninjutsu is the range loss compared to many weapons. You just cant keep the stuff off of you as well with your hands and feet because you dont reach the enemy until they are much closer and can hit you as well.

Of course, with a little skill and willingness to move around a lot when fighting you can still do well easily.

The jump kick DOES provide a nice range benefit though.
