Most fun I ever Had playing so far

Post by ronin69hof »

I just have to tell you guys that my current game is the most fun that I have ever had playing and I have played thru the game at least 20 times. My current party includes a female cavalier (me), sime, tashia, yasraena, alora and chloe. This all female party is a blast to play and the banters are great. It is a very well rounded party with me, chloe, yasraena and sime providing tank and healing power, alora providing thieving skills and tashia putting in sorcerous power. If you have played thru the game a few times then try this out for a change.

Well, I'm a little stuck cause I've never heard of any of those NPC's before....
Mitch:You know, um, something strange happened to me this morning... Chris Knight: Was it a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?Mitch: No... Chris Knight:Why am I the only one who has that dream?

I agree that the game is addictive/frustrating/fun as hell. It does get better and better with each go around. I'm on my eighth "un-modified" go through and I still can't get my way through everything. Though I have absolutely no idea what Mod your playing or anything about the characters you mentioned. It's sound like a neat tip for my ninth attempt.

All excelent mods, you should try.

Edit -

I installed the mods, but used Nalia instead. She is snobby but I wanted to try her out, since I've never did that before.

(Sorry Vondondu, I was translating it litteraly from portuguese, and that never works correctly :o )
Sorry, Luis, but I couldn't understand those last two sentences.
Fixed.

Also, regarding those mods, I guess Ysraenna has some weidu incompatibilities, so read carefully the readme.

Saerileth and Keto are also excellent mods. I'm almost finished with Shadows of Amn, and I look forward to having Saerileth in my party in Throne of Bhaal. I haven't decided who will replace Keto. I might give some of those others a try.

I'm currently trying 3 new NPC mods I just downloaded :

- Saerileth, Humain Female Cavalier.
- Tsujatha, Elven Male Necromancer.
- Fade, Fey'ri (elf/succubus mix) Female Thief.

They are all great NPCs, with lots banters and interjections. There's a mod (here ) called CrossMod Banter Pack. This add banters between NPCs such as Saerileth, Tsujatha and Fade. Enjoy! :D

P.S. Since I decided I would need a bit of divine magic, I'm playing a Fighter/Cleric :D .

I love how the list keeps growing. There are so many Mod NPCs to choose from and most are great and they keep getting better! I have trouble making it through a game before another one comes out that I want to try!

Sime comes with the mod Tortured Souls which if you can install standalone or as part of The Big Picture. Right now I have about every mod installed that is BP compatible and am just having a blast playing. I dumped Viconia for Sime cause she fit better in the party than Vic did. There are lots of banters with the NPC mods that are available. You can find most of them at: http://www.pocketplane.net/mambo/ if you are interested.

On the same site I linked above you can click on the NPC's name and it should take you to the website of the developer of the mod. There you can find out more information on the NPC. For big mods like The Big Picture, The Darkest Day, Shadows over Soubar, Ascension and Tortured Souls they all come with a read me that will explain a little about the mod, for example, new areas, new quests and new NPC's. Hope that answered your question.
Is there a site or list somewhere that list's all the new NPC's with stats?
I don't know of one. But here are stats for some of them:

Yasraena
9th Level Fighter
Drow Elf
Chaotic Good
STR 18/97
DEX 18
CON 12
INT 13
WIS 12
CHA 16
Short Sword *****
Two Weapon Style *
Primary Weapon: Shortsword +1: Fireflower (does extra damage to certain monsters)
Offhand Weapon: Shortsword +2: Ironkiss (inflicts extra bleeding damage)
Armor: Chainmail +1
Necklace: a special heirloom with no apparent magical properties, but unremovable

Biography:
When asked about her past, YASRAENA tells you that she was fortunate to escape the darkness of the Drow city Menzoberranzan, but she never tells the tale of her escape without honoring the sacrifice of her master, Divalir.

Notes:
When you meet her, she's searching for Divalir, who might have been captured by Jon Irenicus, but she knows nothing else about Irenicus. She was captured and imprisoned, but she managed to escape when her cage was damaged during the Shadow Thief assault. (Sound familiar?) Think "fembot".

Saerileth
10th Level Cavalier
Planar Human
Lawful Good
STR 16
DEX 14
CON 12
INT 14
WIS 17
CHA 18
93 Hit Points
Bastard Sword **
Long Sword *
War Hammer **
Sword and Shield Style **
Primary Weapon: Bastard Sword +1
Shield: Medium Shield
Armor: Platemail
Helm: Holy Symbol of Tyr (Protection from Evil, +2 Saving Throws, and Fire, Acid, and Poison resistance)
Quick Slot: Tyr's Judgment (an unremoveable scroll that pronounces a death sentence on one of Tyr's fallen servants)

Biography:
When asked about her past, SAERILETH tells you that she was born on Mount Celestia and dwelt there until her fourteenth year. She was raised from childhood in the Temple of Tyr on Mount Celestia, and has spent the past year in Sigil, serving the priest of Tyr there. From thence she was sent to Toril, to seek out the Bhaalspawn and request his aid.

Notes:
She is the Chosen of Tyr. She approaches you when she sees you in the Temple District and explains that Tyr has sent her to find you (the Bhaalspawn mentioned in her biography) to aid her on a quest. She will not tolerate evil behavior. She will romance your character if he's worthy. Think "Juliet".

Keto
10th Level Bard
Human
Neutral Good
STR 11
DEX 15
CON 16
INT 15
WIS 9
CHA 15
76 Hit Points
Long Sword *
Short Sword *
Quarterstaff *
Darts *
Weapons: Long Sword, Darts
Shield: Buckler
Armor: (none)
Inventory slot: Keto's Pipes (unremoveable)
Inventory slot: Keto's Bottle of Wine (unremoveable)

Biography:
When asked about her past, KETO surprises you by being hazier and more sparse with details than you would expect from a professional storyteller. She is either from "the East" or "the South", depending on when you ask. From the tales she tells, you gather that she has been "a little too late" or "a little too early" to have personally witnessed several crucial battles in Amn and the surrounding regions during the past couple of years. Much of her subsistence income working crowds in taverns and inns seems to support a firm appreciation for wine.

Notes:
You can meet Keto in the Five Flagons Inn, where she is attempting to entertain an unreceptive audience. As you can tell from her biography, her past is a mystery even to herself. She is not the bravest adventurer you could meet, and she loves to drink. She can't sing well, but she can play her pipes and tell stories. She will not romance your character, but she talks a lot. Think "Brave Sir Robin".

I figure someone will come along and tell you what's wrong with some of these characters, but I think the people who created the mods did a great job.

Is anyone aware of any fellow children of Bhaal NPC's? It would be kinda cool to create a party of only Bhaalspawn.

it doesn't exactly fit into the story though. by the end of ToB (SPOILER: highlight to read): all the bhaalspawn except yourself and mellissan are dead and their souls returned to bhaal so bhaalspawn NPCs would have to die at your hand or someone elses.

One fellow child of Bhaal is already available in Shadows of Amn, and another one is available in Throne of Bhaal. If you install the Ascension Mod, another child of Bhaal might possible fight by your side in the final battle (but he won't join your party). You don't have to kill any of them at the end of Throne of Bhaal to acquire (or to purge) their taint--the Solar takes it away from the ones who still have it without killing them.

Most Bhaalspawn that you meet in BG1, Shadows of Amn, and Throne of Bhaal are singular individuals. Some of them might work together, but "back home", they're the only Bhaalspawn in the vicinity. The only exceptions I can think of are Chinchilla and his party, and (guess who) you and your faithful companions (if you've kept them in your party).

Still, it would be nice to have a new Bhaalspawn NPC in your party.
