notarget cheat

Post by mab »

Will the "notarget" cheat make me invisible to employees and security while breaking in to the medical clinic? If not, is there anything that will?

If anybody else was wondering it doesn't help. I ended up seducing and killing the guard. I guess there's only one of them.

One of the guards is supposed to see you, he will drop the keys after he is dead. You can kill him by seduction or sucking him dry, don't kill him with a gun cause that alarms the 2nd guard. You won't get a humanity or masquerade drop.

Just use Dementation :)

Dementation will - as always - take care of the guard. I love that discipline. Can do anything everywhere. Even kill sort of big monsters, such as those killer ghouls at/near the old train station...

I haven't played a Malkavian yet, but that's definitely next on my list. The character I was playing at the time I posted this was a female Brujah. I'm playing a male Tremere at the moment and I've discovered that the seduction option doesn't present itself for a male. I must say that I'm disappointed. It's not exactly as if the game is made for children, and the female characters can seduce anyone regardless of of their gender (or the NPC's sexual orientation for that matter.) That just sucks.

spoiler?

My male Ventrue seduced Phil during the Thinned Blood quest. I have always played females--since I am one!--This is my first male character, and I'm enjoying the differences.

Hmmm...good to know that. It does make me wonder as to why I didn't get the same option in the same situation, though. Maybe it does have something to do with the NPC's orientaion.

Actually, it seems reasonably realistic to me. The old adage is, "Most women are two drinks away from being bisexual." Men are a lot less free spirited. I think it has to do with the testosterone poisoning. I do know that, of all of my girlfriends, only two insisted that they had never had a romantic liason with another woman. Of all of my male friends, only three have ever admitted to a romantic liason with another man, and all three were out of the closet gay.

Testosterone poisoning!!! :D That's what you get in a culture that cuts off half of a man's erm...equipment the minute he's born and then brainwashes him for the rest of his life into believing that the only time he should think about his prostate gland is when he's concerned that it may be diseased.

Deal. The drives that our hormones give us were appropriate in a subsistence environment in a primordial jungle where we had to fight to survive. In a modern society, the urge to kill anything and everything just to prove oneself is somewhat less than simply moronic.

VTMB gives us this lesson: We can evolve beyond the beast in our soul. I've got the same, "I'm going to stomp your guts out to prove that I'm a MAN" urges that you do. I simply choose to obey my fore-brain and do what is right, not what my gonads tell me to do. I am not a slave to my hormones in real life, and I am not a slave to The Hunger in VTMB. That is my nature. It's not some form of socially imposed androform dyslexia. We don't have to obey the animal inside us. Submitting to that animal is a weakness, not a strength.

Persuasion

I used persuasion on the woman downstairs, and the gaurd and got through without killing anyone... :p
