Lower Resist & Malasion scrolls please

Post by reddkey »

I was using Aerie for my mage for quite a while, she sucked up all my scrolls. Then I finally finished the quest to get Edwin to join your party and actually I'm wishing for the Elf back again. Edwin has no Divination spells, and he failed on the Greater Malasion, and Lower Resistance scrolls, and I dont think there are any left to purchase in the game.

I have solved & checked the stores in Trademeet, Waukeens Prom, Bridge District, thieves guild, Umar Hills,...Is there anywhere else to buy scrolls that Im missing?

Inside the Adventurer's Mart within Waukeen's Promenade there is a Lady from Thoth in the back of the store. Talk to her, she has alot of magical scrolls and trinkets.
Mitch:You know, um, something strange happened to me this morning... Chris Knight: Was it a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?Mitch: No... Chris Knight:Why am I the only one who has that dream?

As a tip, get your mage/sorc to swallow a Potion of INT before having them learn new spells. Drastically lowers the chances of messing up.

if there are no more scrolls to be bought, you can always just go wonder around and look for these scrolls. I always happen upon random scrolls when I go to Windspear Hills.

Also, there is a merchant in Waukeen's promenade that only comes out at night. He is located in the SE corner outside of the main promenade under the colonade.

Mmmm, these spells are very usefull during the game. Use the tactics posted before - have your mage (if low int) to drink potion of int to learn the spells. Also - there are a lot of merchants during the game. Usually in my party I have 2 mages - Aerie + my main character or Imoen. As IWD 2 - with 2 mages the game is a lot easier. I combine specialist evoker with specialist conjuration, and most of the time I did not have to use scrolls - just using most of my spells in a battle, then rest.

Learning spells

I always find it useful to temporarily decrease the game difficulty to learn the best spells. Then you have no chance of spell learning failure :p
