Adept class not posssible? Please help.

Post by Big-T »

I am a 25th level Deathlord and decided to add the Adept class for some fun. I have been to the monastery District in Fargrove and the Empyrean monastery in Arindale but neither priest asks if I want to join. The one priest in Arindale mentions what the purpose of the Circle is about but does not offer if I want to have an Adept quest.

Am I unable to joing this Adept class/guild because of my class selections?

I read a post oon spome other board about having to see that seer in the Harrow Ruins - Mara (sp?) for this quest. Is this right?

Please help. Advice greatly appreciated.

What class did you use at character generation and what guilds did you already join?

If you started as a fighter, and if you didn't join any guilds other than the Guild of Fighters, then you should be able to ask Seer Paulus in the Fargrove temple about "celestial order," and he should ask you if you'd like to join.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

umm

If your classes are simply:

Fighter, Maurder, Deathlord

and you have given him the Letter (that you receive from the guy near the fire at the beginning of the game) you should be ok, talk about the celestial order and the priest will ask you to join.

However,
you may have clicked accidently on "NO, and dont ask me again" when he asked you the first time

if this is the case, he will never ask you again.

Thanks for the help, everyone!

I think I may have said 'no' to his offer at the beginning of the game, not knowing what the ramifications were. Too bad. I wish the game would open it up. How are you supposed to know which guilds to join at the very beginning and the ramifications of joining or not. . .it was so long ago that I am thinking that I may have turned down the offer. I think I said no to the mage as well.

So, at least I get the thief/rogue quest to go to the haunted manor. If I play again I will know not to say no at first until I am sure what I want to become.

Has anyone had experience of a deathlord/rouge? What classes will be open to me? Will the 'Eastern/orienal' class offers change?

I believe in your situation, you'll be able to add the hunter, trickster, or budoka class to your character. But chances are, you won't notice the difference (rogue skills seem pretty worthless to me).

Our classes page might make this more clear.
