Tomb Of Souls - Can't Enter

I am having a bit of trouble trying to enter the tomb of souls... My quest log shows the password I need to enter, but whenever I go and speaker to ugly rock face - he tells me "BEGONE"

I have done Shadow Ruins, I am doing Vale of Ruins atm (in some big temple, fought this awesome balrog or something.. massive++).

Help?!

You get the password for the tomb of souls earlier than you should (at least I did). You have to use valdanes blood on the altar in the vale of ruins first. After speaking with the messenger you can enter the tomb of souls.

Oh.. cool thanks - I'm doing Vale of Ruins now. Also what am I meant to be doing in the Temple of Draedoth? I just stumbled across it and it doesn't seem to be quest related?!

if you are feeling brave than go ahead and do the temple but the temple isn't part of the quest that vartugg sent you on. the place where you have to place the vial of blood is all in the way in the southern part of the vale of ruin. be sure to save before placing the vial on the alter because the messenger that is supposed to arrive frequently gets stuck in the air. so once you place the vial on the alter, watch the skies. if you see a humain flapping its wings and going nowhere than reload your game until it successfully comes down to talk to you.

My bad, found some crap shield.. had 1000 duration/damage or whatever.. but crap nether-the-less! Cheers

That sounds like the shield of retribution. It doesn't look like much, but if you block with it, it will reflect spells back at their casters, and so it's the most useful shield in the game.

haha gay.. first thing i did when i got it was go to talendor

Oh well.. my trusty target shield will prevail... all my other shields are down to 10 or so damage left - I can't risk using them anymore until the repair is working!
