Jon Irenicus in BG?

Post by The Chosen One »

One thing made wondering when I was out in Cloakwood and compleating a quest for Tiber. When I met with Centeol, the queen of the spiders, she said that she has been cursed by an arch mage Jon Icarus. Have Jon Icarus something to do with Jon ''Jonoleth'' Irenicus?

Yea, I think there is another thread on this. Bodhi is mentioned as "Bodi" somewhere in the game as well. I don't think it really changes the game very much, just an interesting little bit of foreshadowing.
Anywhere you can find a raving lunatic rambling on about his past and how he received the enlightenment from the toads who hail from the heavens, I'll be there.

And no, I'm not on drugs.

That's pretty interesting. I never noticed it....
Mitch:You know, um, something strange happened to me this morning... Chris Knight: Was it a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?Mitch: No... Chris Knight:Why am I the only one who has that dream?

IIRC she mentions a mage called Jon Irecus. Can't be just a coincidence :D
The problem is that the people with the most ridiculous ideas are always the people who are most certain of them.
