I Finished The Game. Spoiler!

Post by Axis420 »

Well I finished the game. When i went to kill volgar, he was talking to a greater demon. The Demon ends up killing Volgar for you then you have to kill him. Here's what u need to do, this is very important! Pick up all the relics that volgar drops hit the "E" button then make sure u equip Ellowyn's Ring. You will die multiple times if you do not do this. The Demons Stun attack is brutal! Next thing you need to do is go near Galdryn. Yes he's not dead, but frozen in a sphere of ice. Use the very first relic you found, The Horn. Galdryns ice cage will break and he will help you kill the demon. I found it very useful to have the demon attack him instead of me when I moved away to heal. Anyways Goodluck with the fight and keep on dungeoning!

Congrats :)
Although, I never used any of the relics for the final fight. I didnt even realize they were there for the taking, that is until the fight was over.. heheh.
But, I never died fighting him, thanx to my emerald greatsword, I kept him frozen. :D

The hard part was hitting him the first time.. which froze him.. after that it was nothing.. he just sat there while I hacked.
BTW, I meant to say sapphire sword (ice), not emerald... lol... far as I can tell, the emerald sword does nothing. heheh

Finish at level 20, no ring or wizard's help

Too bad I have not read this first! I fought this last demon been level 20,
and I did not use the ring or wizard's help :-) . Just shot my bow ("Nectrotic Battle Bow", 4-9 damage, found in Vale) and circle, then run to create some
space and repeat. Few melee attacks were OK, forward/side-strike/backward-strike to avoid the stun, then run - I can't stay to close for long. I had 188 life, so it helps, I guess (never die during this fight).

One more thing - this my character never found Ellowyn or even been in Shadow Ruins (been there with my other character, it was fun). I was not in Unholy Arc either! I went to Vale after Naga Temple without seen Skuldoon dude (Vartugg) in between, and got thrown into the final place right after visiting Vartugg then. Was I luck or it is a bug? Anyway, the game was fun, and thanks to everybody for the help on forums!

Shaduroth is a joke

Personally I found Shaduroth the Soul Devourer to be a walk-over. If you equip the Ring and use a freezing weapon, he doesn't even get to touch you and that was with a monster difficulty of hard.

Personally I was more impressed by that guy in the Shadowruins. He nearlky finished me off at least.

Anyway I finished as a Level 23 Deathlord with a full complement of Armour and may now call myself Lord of the Order of the 5 Relics for all it is worth.

WEll i did use the relics and it was a pushover, although i may have done more damage with my stone great warhammer thingy. i used it cus it just looked way cool. but i had next to no skills in polearm weapons.. hehe. but still it the fight UP to him was the hard part, specially those 2 big demon guys, ( all hail Sanctuary and Fire protection!) and the beholder type critters.. I was soo excited when i saw those the first time.. (beholders are soo cool!) Well i finnished with Warrior ( no other primary do to loosing the scarching staff) Valkyrie/Knight, War Witch. level 20 i believe. heavy wepons at 18 or so, only got magic skils with War witch so those wher kinda low.. Man i did now know what i was missing untill o picked that up!.

Dispite almost quitting a few times because of buggs i just could not stop playing i love the combat system in this game. i just dont know if i will try to replay it anytime soon. Hopefully they have fixed a few bugs and a few more patches before i play again..

Oh I did only play with normal and LESS random because i hated running into stuf in the wilderness every 30 seconds.. that was jsut too crazy. atleast at the start when you rely on a limited income and few potions.. later on I guess i sould have changed it back.. Oh well. It was fun yet frusterating..

Oh heh yeh and for teh Poll, They wouldn't stand a chance against any "hero" with the relics anyway :)

This was my favorite part. Yeah, you get to be the lord of the order, except, uh, we're hiding the relics again and you don't get to use them. Sorry!

FWIW, my character ended up being a level 35 lord.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."
