Need help -Valdane-Mara quest

I talked to Lord Evenmore, the maid, andEvenmore again. Then I talked to the barmaid, went to Bolen field and talked to Lord Graymaer and received the Rescue Valdane quest. I went back to talk to the bar maid to get the search for Mara part but she says "she would contact me as soon as she could. Please come back later". I came back latter but still the same answer. I went to Harrow ruin but no Mara so I did not get the lettr of Alliance proposal to be able to continue the quest at Skuldoom. Did I miss a part or do I do something else to get Mara to appear?

Gileah won't tell you about Mara until after Fargrove has been locked down.
