**DROW ITEMS EVERYONE SHOULD READ**

Post by Virill »

Hey guys I just got on the board list so I'm not sure if this topic has been brought up yet.

I have found away to preserve drow items outside of the Underdark and its really very simple. Just load up all of you drow equipment onto one person right before you leave the underdark and have that person leave your party, and say you'll meat them in Athkatla. Leave the Underdark go get the person back in your party and all the items will still be intact, the drow items turn to dust as a trigger when you first come out of the caves, so you can avoid this by doing what i just said.

Have Fun

Heh...I think this particular topic is around somewhere...and lead to a long thread about the ethics of doing just that...Btw...if you fill up your the last 5 slots of your inventory with unindentified drow eq...and ask Elhan for stakes and holy water after the conversation after leaving the underdark...the drow eq will drop to the ground to make space for the stakes and holy water...they after the conversation you can pick them back up and they won't turn to dust...however you have to leave that area before identifying them or they WILL turn to dust.

Cool.
I knew there had to be some way to preserve the cool Drow stuff.
I put it all into a bag of holding, imagine my surprise when all I had was a bag of dust.

I believe there are certain 'trigger' areas that moving from makes the stuff turn to dust - the underdark may not be the only one. Its in a thread here somewhere.

Damn, I wasn't goint to read this thread, never mind post in it Image

Virill, your method is the standard one to preserve drow items (no offense). As far as I know, you can use the drow items freely as long as you do not bring them near exit from the Underdark, i.e., the area around the exit from the Underdark is the only annihilator of drow items in the game.

Seabass, how do you make all those items. Does playing BG2 feel like playing Diablo I if you cheat like that? But anyway, I hope you can e-mail me and tell me how to do it. Thanks.

the whole process of making them can get tricky, and it can be useful to look at premade items and check how the makers of BG did theirs. All in all thew program is easy to use, no programming or anything, just simple buttons and such..... Email me if you h ave any problems.

Geez, what is the point of playing when every score is 20, you are immune to every spell and element, your AC is so good nobody can hit you and you automatically kill nearly everything you hit in one blow?

Does any creature in the game give you even a remote challenge with that getup?

(Armor for a Kensai....even if it existed, would any "real" kensai wear such a thing?)

I know you are just playing around because you've "been there, done that...", but puh-leeez....
