i sometimes find it difficult to find where characters leave their items after dying, especially in a dungeon, try turning the contrast and brightness of the game up to full and it will be much easier to see the item pile.

Lots of people here (me included) have had this happen to them. the only thing to do is either import it all with CluaConsole/Shadow Keeper or to reload.
