Question on Elder Scrolls Storyline

Post by Vulne »

I had a quick question...

I have not played any of the previous Elder Scrolls, eventhough I own morrowind and all expansions. I just haven't got to play them yet as I recently went back and purchased all of the games I never got to play over the past 5 years or so.

Baldurs Gate I & II, Icewind Dale I & II and all of their expansions are what have kept me busy lately.

My question is this...

I am very weird about video games and I have to play all of the previous titles before I play the newer games. I was wondering if the first III Elder Scrolls were all continuing storylines of a series or were they all completely different storylines?

I want to go back and beat Arena, Daggerfall, and Morrowind eventually, but I only want to do morrowind right now - so if the other two aren't part of a storyline I'd rather wait until later.

Completely different storylines. The "lore" of the lands remains the same, but you're a new person, and the lands in MW are not the same section of lands you would have visited in earlier titles.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
