This is utterly random but they put video cameras up at the jr. high school that I went to this past year. Heat/ motion detectors too, I think. But I'm pretty sure that that stuff isn't going to mork until the coming year.
I wanted to change my sig, but I can't think of anything to change it to :(

My school never bothered with camera's. The problems were extreme bullying and very bad drug use everywhere. They figured, so long as guns and knives weren't involved, everything was fine.

10% of the kids there were running from the school to the city of Rochester to do drug runs weekly, if not daily, during classes. My cousin was one of them. It was a means of safety. Rather than getting beat up, if you had drugs on you, the bully's would take them and leave you alone instead, not to mention far more profitable than a part-time job.

Nope, no reason for camera's at the school I went to. Everything was perfectly fine.

I think it's a case-by-case basis sort of thing, you know? Although tragedies happen where you least expect them, I think that sometimes it's the places that NEED security the most that can't afford it.

So true, the sad part is, the town I was speaking of, and school district, the average family is wealthy. It's not uncommon to drive through certain parts of town and see mansion's in the middle of huge plots of land. 20 years ago, it was all farms, now people sold those farms and bought HUGE houses on the plots of land they kept for themselves.

The money's there, the attention to problem's isn't. The same for the city I mentioned above. Rochester is home to a number of very large worldwide corporations, namely Xerox and Kodak. There's money in the city, lots of old, family money. It's a decaying city though. Most of what you hear about nowadays is crack dealers, shootings and bodies.

This really isn't the place for any of this though is it? Oh well. I'm hungry, steaks need to hurry up and thaw!

"yadda yadda yadda" Huh?

I'm considering seeing if a nearby "adult" organization should be notified of my friends party. The only problem is the party isn't something inside and such. However, they are party girls. *scratches my head* More pondering is in order. Good thing theres about 2 months until Mardi Gra still. :D

Heh, well I figured. Porn stars get naked for money+Mardi Gra party with $1000 grand prize=Naked porn stars while I run the bar and collect the money. Nice set of logic aye? :D

The problem is, the party is in a field, in a backwater town. Chances are, none will be interested. :(
