Sounds like one of the biggest complaints right now is the lack of an Automap.
Instead of waiting for patch 3, how hard would it be to incorperate a cooridinate system into the game? If you know your North/South and East/West position it would be simple to figure out exactly where you are. If that were to happen I know some industrious person would soon have all the grid locations of all town, cities, shops and NPCs. Just a thought.
