Who here is a modder, or downloads lots of mods? (raise 1 hand)

Who here is a serious modder, or seriously downloads lots of mods? (raise 2 hands)

Who has heard of Tamriel Rebuilt? (raise both hands and spread out your fingers)

Who has heard of Tamriel Rebuilt and doesnt think its one of the most awesome things on the planet? (Go home and hope I dont smite you)

i was looking at it again, and its still going. Im excited as hell, even though they will have ES 5 by the time these guys are finished. Look over the project, its very cool.

This is the link. Click it.

now having looked over the project like i politely asked, what do you think of it? (remember, I can smite if need be)

Jesterking, this is the archetypal enormous project that constantly changes programmers and never seems to get done. That's how I've it's been referred to on other forums, and I'm afraid I can see why. Truth? Even you say as much. That being the case, why get excited about something that won't be here until you no longer care to play Morrowind?

So far, it's been fun to see what they already built. It's one heck of a project and I'm sure I'll download it when it's finished. I see Fable's point, however, people are still playing SoA and even BG1. Who knows, TR may start a retail frenzy in the (far) future ;) .

People continue to play SOA and BG1 for the original material though :) . People will grow weary of Morrowind... and it doesn't have the story to give it lasting value over Oblivion (although it may have nostalgic value - who wouldn't install Morrowind again just to remember the feeling of smiting Fargoth :p )

See, the thing is that I'll gladly play mods: I've got 205 running, now. But Tamriel Rebuilt has been issuing "final dates" over the last three years, and by the look of their status reports, they won't ever get it finished. So I'm going to ignore something that appears to be vaporware, and focus on the mods that we do have--including at least one huge one, Wizard's Island.
