viconia romance

I've had Viconia in my group for sometime, though haven't been able to get any romance started with her. I'm unsure if this matters but my character is an elf chaotic good assassin.

I don't think Viconia likes Elves. Only half-elf's and Humans...

I don't think any of the romances can procede if your character isn't a half-elf or human. It's silly, however, because none of the female romances are human:

Jaheira (half elf)
Aerie (winged elf)
Viconia (dark elf)

REALLY!?! I am playing an elf, but hurried through the initial chapters to get Imoen back... Aerie seemed to be leading me in that romantic direction, but I got to Spellhold before it went to far... You mean I have NO chance at any of the romances in the game because I'm an elf? If this is true, then

Elves and Drow dont get along.(read the "history of the drow" I and II the books are in the game.)
the other question.
human,half-elves and elf can have a romance but a elf cant have a romance with viconia. everyone else is fine.
P.S. I Am tired to answer the question why the drow and elf dont get along.
And Jhareth get ready for a suprise in the end of Aerie romance.

Jhareth, I didn't mean to scare you. I honestly thought elves couldn't either. I played a half-orc the first time through and found out, after roughly 50 hours of gameplay, that I was screwed. The second time through it was pure human, baby.

Don't you think the designers are trying to make a point with this? As a human or half elf you are very, very mortal (despite being Bhallspawn???) so therefore you can romance Elves but only the one with the half-elf works (Jaheira).

Hey ! it's better romancing those two than Aerie ! Try look into some thread and you'll find out that romancing Aerie is a huge disappointment.

If by *disappoinment* you mean you don't get to poke her then, yes, the Aerie romance is a bit of a downer. Of course, you *could* bang her but you probably know the results..
