hitman quest fails in 1.5

I have been trying to finish the hitman impasse quest (patch 1.5) but even though I get the hitmen to be friends and they stay alive, the game says I have killed both men and failed the quest.
Anyone has a workaround?

well, this is a problem in every version including 1.5

I have even reinstalled...

It's a bug I first experienced with the 1.4 patch. To successfully complete the quest, you'll need to be truly diabolical. Play each man against the other until one of them offers you 80%. Then kill the other. Talk the one who's still alive twice. The second time, he'll have your reward. Since patch 1.4, when I do the quest this way, I recieve every possible reward for it. Two exp rewards, 1000 cash, a humanity point, and two messages: One saying I killed one of the hitmen, another saying I reconciled them.

It's strange, but what the hell... Lots of rewards.
