I wanted to test out an arcane archer prestige class. I have the gold version.
requirements Attack bonus +6, elf or half-elf, feats weapon focus long bow and point blank shot, and cast level one spells
So off I went.
Half-elf
Level 1 Ranger with the required two feats
Level 2 Wizard for the spell requirement of level one spells
Level 3 to 4 Ranger to get attack bonus +6
Level 5 was to be a AA
But alass the AA wasnt high lighted So what did i do wrong.
I have a Charactor that is a Bard/ happer scout.
BAB is Base Attack Bonus. Not Attack Bonus. Check that. You shouldn't be able to access that class until next your next level. Get ranger to level 5 that will be BAB +5, your 2 Wizard levels provide another +1 and theres your +6 BAB.
Edit: Sorry, get 5 levels of ranger and 2 levels of Wizard, OR 6 levels of Ranger and 1 level of wizard. Either way works.
