Damage Resistance stacking

I've got a character who has Bands of Focus (D.R. 5/+1) and the Cloak of Mystra (also 5/+1 DR), but he only ever gets 5 damage resistance, I guess because they don't stack like multiple AC bonuses of the same type.

My question is this, going into HoF, I plan on wearing Cornugon Hide Armour (DR 10/+2) and Bands of the Master (DR 15/+3) if I get hit for 20 damage by a +2 weapon will all the damage be absorbed? To get the best possible damage resistance should I also wear the Cloak of Mystra? This would give me damage reistance of 5/+1, 10/+2 and 15/+3. If I'm right that would be a total of 30 resistance to normal damage, 25 DR against +1 and 15 against +2 without any spells.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't stack at all.
So with those three items, you'll just get 15/+3 damage resistance. But I haven't tested that myself since damage resistance has never been part of my plan.

not 100% sure about DR - but SR & elemental resistance does stack AFAIK!

with DR I would guess that all natural DR stacks with DR from the best DR from spells or items - but never tested this...

I just now loaded the 10/+2 armor and the 15/+3 bands into a HoF mode goblin fortress party. AFAIK, nobody uses +2 or better weapons there. With both items on, I had 15 damage resistance. With one item on, I got the resistance from that one item.

So item resistances don't stack with other items.

thanks for that. I have on other off topic question, my solo character is now at the severed hand and is already 30th level. I want to take her directly into HoF, but when I start up in HoF mode and try to add her to my party, I only get her levl 1 original version with no items. How do I export her level 30 version to HoF?

Oh anf yes, natural damage resistance (from a high level Barbarian say) does stack with other items I'm pretty sure.

If I recall correctly, there should be an option to export your character while playing the game. So you'd load your Severed Hand game, export your character, start a new game, and import the character there.

Are you sure the lvl 30 version is saved in the char files? Did you Export it from the char sheet? - maybe you forgot this that's why the lvl1 version is stored.

that's probably it. I take it there is an option of some sort in the character arbitrtation screen that lets you expor characters? Been so long since I played in HoF I can't remember how it works!
