Voratuus Exploitable

Post by blueray »

Last night, I go to Tomb of Souls and reached Voratuus's chamber. After releasing him from the sarcophagus, he just stand still and his two Succubi flew in and stayed at his side. Then a bunch of random skeles poped in to attack me. My Sorceress used the Blast Nova and killed the Skele (I haven't started talking with Voratuus though I intend to attack him - no point doing the puzzle) and I noticed that while the two Succubi are not affected by y spell, Vorty himself will get damaged by the spell and will not attack me (just like nothing had happened)! I used up 3 of my Blast Nova so I had to start attack him as normal, and during the battle, I used another 2 rounds of Ice Nova - Vorty isn't inmune to Ice and got frozen.

Even though Vorty isn't any hard to kill, this will still give you some extra damage on him before you started a fight with him, especially if you don't have any winter weapon.

Also, I dealt with the Fiend of Ghazul, darn tough, but magic missiles and fire burst does well with him, nether blast is also hurting him. If you have the shield of retribution, you can reflect his spells to damage him. He is inmune to Fire and Ice.

Lastly, I found a necklace in the Tomb of Souls, called the Skull of Fiend, it looks cool but has no stats on it, it just shows a blank box when I move the mouse over it. Anyone know what this thing does? I found it in the hidden room with lotsa skeles and mummies before the room where the Evil Ankh is located.

People have posted about the trinket before. My guess is it's just another unfinished part of the game.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

We are already having so much fun in its current poorly done state. Imagine how greate this game would be, IF it has came out in a solid, shiny bug free state...sigh...
