Can't climb Anyone know what's wrong?

Hi,
I just started playing and when I use the keys for climbing all it does is jump. Any suggestions?

Shift Key is used for climbing

Well, the shift key is used for climbing ladders. But if you want to climb up to a ledge or climb out of the water, the jumping is the right thing to do.

If your trying to climb up a steep mountain, waters edge that is too steep, etc. you can't. Some have said back flip will take you over somethings that were not ment to be climbed like the walls/ gate of skuldoon. Beware if you manage to climb something your not supposed to you may end up somewhere you can't get out of. Example: when I first started the game I was so frustrated that I couldn't get out of Fargrove that I found a place that I could climb the wall and jump over..... I found myself on a small patch of land outside the wall looking out over.... Nothing... no way to get back up so... End of game. D
