fun with demons (spoilers)

alrighty, i finished the game last night, and i must say that though bg2 is the most enjoyable rpg i have played, the ending was a bit of a letdown, difficulty-wise.

If you had had to face a demilich in hell, that would have been an ultimate challenge. But the demons just weren't even that tough and used no fire attacks on me so it was basically just an all-out melee battle. once the demons were gone he cast mislead, i caught up to him, pierce shield, hackhackhack and down he went.

I was thinking, cool, now i'll get to go back and finish some of the subquests but what a letdown! game over.

What i don't understand, though, is the basic thrust of the plot. I thought it would all be revealed at the end -- but i still don't know exactly why irenicus was picking on me. i don't know why we "shared a soul." i sort of assume that i am now the avatar of bhaal, and that he was trying to become that (??) but heck if i know what i just spent a month doing.

anyway, i am starting over, and since my alignment shifted to NE in hell, that is what i am going to be this time around. yay, i finally get to have vic and edwin and korgan. and just to let 'em all know i'm in town, i'm going to the radiant heart and am gating in a pit fiend or two. greetings, all you snotty lawful goodies.

No there was no reloading for that last one, was there? I still had six (yeah I spared the tiefling, even tho I think he stole my woman Lloth never came after us ) and at least three had maxed out exp. No Imoen was not impressed, she was almost 2 levels behind.

Seriously, make it harder for yourself 2nd time.

Imoen will reach the exp. cap upon reaching the Elf city if you did all the quests except for the Twisted Ruin and Kangaxx before leaving for Spellhold
