3rd edition conversion?

Greetings,

I read somewhere that there was a mod that would convert Baldur's Gate II to the look and 3rd ed rules of Icewind Dale 2, provided you had the latter installed.

What is this mod called and where is it found?

The conversion mod is called Icewind Gate II. The homepage is at:

It isn't finished (it's in a beta-testing phase "indefinitely"), and I don't know if anyone is still working on it. The latest version is about 15 months old.

If you try it, let us know what you think of it.

IcewindGate is not playable in the sense that on many ocasions in order to make progress you have to use the game console....

"Eternally beta" is how the creators are describing it. I gather that it's very low priority as a project. But if that's what you want, the website vonDondu provided should give you all you need to know.

It would appear I won't be trying it afterall after looking at it. Oh well. It originally sounded promising. It would seem that even a year ago, it looked to need about a years more work and none has been done on it.
