Flayers in sewers

I've got the sewer key that opens the door to the flayers area, but was wondering if there is an actual quest involved?

Nope. Just fighting a lot of darn hard mindflayers for a lot of xp. Oh and you get the hammer part of the crom'fayer hammer.
