On Dxun - the Mandalorian Cache (SPOILER)

Post by Statarius »

This is hardly a question worthy of these magnanamous forums, but....

I've forgotten the original mission regarding the Mandalorian Cache, and i have just enough honor to leave everything IF it belongs to Mandalore.
If it's somebody else's, i'll have no problem emptying it.

So my question is: what did Mandalore want me to do with the Cache? Blow open the door, disable the security...?

All Mandalore wanted you to do was trigger the permacrete explosives, and fight off the jungle critters.

However, if you loot the cache there will be no comeback. Neither will there be if you loot the earlier cache near the first Mandalorian corpse, despite the fact I think this is the cache Mandalore warns you not to loot (spoiler: you will need Thorium charges from Akhere on Dantooine to blow the door to this cache).
LucasArts in interview with GameSpy, September 2004
"We were hoping we could bring the Xbox platform into December but didn't want to make the formal announcement until we knew an earlier ship date would not compromise the quality of The Sith Lords," says Producer Mike Gallo.

So i'm not supposed to disable the defenses inside? I must have read through the mission too fast....

Understood. I went through it both ways (once having left everything and once after raiding it), and couldn't see any difference in gameplay.
However, i like to roleplay as much as possible; so if the cache belongs to Mandalore then i'm leaving it.

Anyway, thanks.
