Loot Bag Where?

Post by Glyph Runeborn »

I have only played Morrowind on my Xbox and have yet to play on my PC. On my Xbox I have been to alot of places and looted alot of cool stuff.
I was surrprised to find all of my looted goods missing when I returned to my newly accquired establishment, only to find a Loot Bag in a cornner?
I can't remember all that I had collected through my travels and don't know if all of it was put into this Loot Bag?

My questions are;

1: How much loot can I drop (Xbox or PC: stolen or fought for) before it goes away?

2: And where does the game know where to put my Loot Bag?
I was happy enough to find a Loot Bag in my dwelling, but are there other Loot Bags with stuff I have accquired sitting in a conner somewhere that I have'nt yet found?

Sorry, I don't know the answers to your questions, this happened to me too. :(
A little warning, don't stash to many items in a place where there is an activator on the ground (like a switch), with the worst of luck the lootbag ends up there and you can't use the activator. ;)
Do you need a silencer if you're gonna shoot a mime?

Are any of the items dropped in multiples, say 10 pillows at one time? I think the loot bag was there to prevent the game from having to render too many objects in one area, and if you drop them like that, you might not have enough objects to trigger the loot bag. Try dropping them one by one.

The same happened to me because i play it on xbox too. What I did is I went to the fighter's guild in balmora and downstairs there is an empty room with 2 beds. There are 2 chests in there too. Close the door, and remove the stuff from the chests. Then u can put all of your valuable items in there by pressing the right trigger. Drop the stuff that weighs 60 lbs, if ur not using it. I put all of my axes and armor that i dont use in there. And i put my daedric weapons in there. It wont be deleted from the game either.

I would think that this Loot Bag only ocurs on the Xbox console, as i've not seen any loot bag, other than that of the TES Construction Set, on the PC.
This only appeared once I tried to place everything on the shelves of a house in Balmora, and sometimes even if there was not very much loot on the shelves, it appeared after about three or four leavings and comings. It's wierd...
just some random pointless thing for discussion.

I believe that a loot bag appears on the spot where you dropped the last item that made the loot bag necessary. I know this, because I once had a bunch of Indoril armor stacked up to my head, I left, and there was a loot bag floating in midair! I'm not sure, but I believe that a loot bag appears when you drop a certain amount of weight in a given room. But it could be a number of items...
