Question about Giants

Post by Alien_Newborn »

Back in the day, I never considered downloading GIANTS because I was always under the impression that it was a package of ûber creatures for noobs who splurged their characters with console commands. Recently, I thought: hey, even if it is ûber, I can either a.) have a challenge for me and my companions or b.) dull down the crazy high stats. Because of that outlook, I downloaded GIANTS Ultimate, but after I loaded it and started playing it, I found that a single animation for a single monster is missing, and thereby preventing me from playing.

Has anyone else found that in Ultimate the animation for the Nix pack-hounds is missing? Can anyone give me some advice on how to get the download running?

I've heard about this problem, but I've never downloaded the mod so not experienced it. Did you get it from the modder's website? Because I would assume that if anybody had a bugfree copy, it would be him. That's Punaman, I think; this is his site.

It wasn't the difficulty that made me avoid his mod, though. It was complaints that the creatures weren't scaled to your level, and often appeared in areas that made no sense at all. I do use other creature mods, but they take note of proper areas and the player's level.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I downloaded it from the site you suggested, Fable and I think it's working now. All I have to do now is go find some apostates, gorgos and automaton golems for a real challenge

If anyone can remember a while ago I posted a pic and asked what the creature was, it turns out that it's an automaton golem from giants: check it out

So until next time..... don't forget to floss
