Joluv is in the Copper Coronet and the other one (forget her name) is upstairs in the Adventurer's Mart.

Check the back of Ribald's adventurers mart. Both have very good stuff (nearly too good)

chick in back of Mart in my version sells mostly (all?) scrolls. is this the person of which you speak? I'm not sure if I have the "deluxe" version.

Doesn't sound like you have them, Foul. Goto: http://www.bgdungeon.com/bg2/downloads.htm
And pick up the additional merchants.

It is not the chick who sell scrolls, this person is closer to the stairs...I think the name is Deidre or something like that.

Everybody says they have such wonderful magic items, but either I'm missing something or I have too many magic items already. The only items I bought from either of them (the only 2 useful items as far as my party was concerned) was the Robe of Vecna and the +5 sling that doesn't need bullets.

Well Wookie. Yer missing something. Image

If you take a good long look at the items you'll see that they are all very useful for varoius classes. And a certain spear is a lot handier than it seems if one know the trick. :d

Apart from the two I bought, none of the items were any use to me, they were either less useful than things they would replace or the wrong sort of weapons (none of my characters specialised in them). I don't understand the obsession in this game with magical spears, if you have to have a 2 handed melee weapon, a 2H sword does much more damage than any spear ever will.

Wookie.

Errh... OK?

You don't need to buy them if you don't want them. Image I found a lot of use for all the items that can be bought, favouring Vhailors Helm above all things though. Guess it's just the way we play that makes some peoples junk other peoples treasures. And I would say that the game is a lot more fond of twohanded swords than spears, much to my druids dissapointment.

I agree it's obsessed with 2H swords much to the disgust of my longsword wielding fighter/thief.

About the spear: he's referring to the loophole, where you can recover HP's much faster than usual through healing spells or even regeneration items.

I think 'The Impaler' is quite impressive. A spear+3 which delivers additional +10(!) piercing damage, that's gonna hurt.

Sadly none of my chars is proficient with spears Image.

I've already been playing a while, and do not have Joluv in the Copper Coronet (I have the Collector's edition and thus Diedre is not a problem.) Can I add him into the CC after I have been there, and finished the slaver's quest?

Yes, this should be possible, without problems. I've added mine when I was in the middle of a game as well, and they both appeared.

Thank you, oh all-knowing one. I think we will check out Joluv's wares on our next trip to town.

Just to verify, I added Joluv into the Copper Coronet without incident....I even did it WHILE my party was IN the joint, and it was no problem (POOF, there he is....)

i don't know if it matters, but in my game when i added the merchants joluv appeared outside of the copper coronet, standing right outside the entrance, instead of inside. sounds like everyone else had him appear inside the building. (?)
