I'm sure this wont help you any - other than reasuring your beliefs in it's existance... :P

I remember wielding it as well. Can't recall where I got hold of it, though.
Think it was a mace...

Do either of you have any mods (previously) installed?

I have and have had plenty of different mods.
It wasn't with the version I am now playing though, so I'm not sure which mods. Could be the Freedoms Reign or something.
Extremely unlikely, though, as Crom doesn't have any installed.

I thought crom faeyr might be referring to a club called The Root of The Problem, but I guess now we'll never know.

Well, I would suggest taking a look through shadowkeeper. Go into it and look through all the clubs and maces listed, to see if any of them are the ones you are referring to.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

I have looked through the listings of items on GameFaqs and there doesn't seem to be anything like that. A search for the word forget only returns 2 hits: in the description of the Bracers of Defense AC3 and one of Irenicus' journals. I can't find a reference to this on any other faq.

I suspect that the name is slightly different from what was reported.

There is a neversleep sword. And also, the root of the problem... it has some mention in the item description, aye?
