Items that raises Wisdom?

Post by Thrifalas »

I'm interested in making a priest, either Cleric or Druid, and it would be nice if I could raise my Wis to as high as possible. The whole saga included. I'm up at 23 with tomes, Lum's machine and Reward of hell, but is there any items that can raise it higher? Nothing strikes my mind, so I'm asking for help here ;o

I'm not sure if there are any bonuses to be had when you have Wisdom that high or higher. :)

Most spells and potions have a limit to the bonus given, although there may be some that add to the current score (maybe Draw upon Holy Might).

If the manual is to be believed, you gain (with 25 wis) two extra spells up to level 6 and one extra level 7. That's why I want it, as you just gain two exta spells/level to level 5 with 23 wis. :o If that's true... Might have to check that out.

The silver Ioun stone puts you up at 24 (Amkethran). For 25 I think you have to be a cleric-thief (to get use any items). That way you can equip the axe of Hrothgar (from Joluv). Observe that without a mod you would have to be human and if there is to be any point you'd have to dualclass rather late. With a modded BG1, you could be half-orc. The gnomes starts with max 17 in wisdom, so they won't do.

I see no way for a druid to reach 25 though. Perhaps the mods have some equipment that I don't know about.

Ah, that's right, there's a stone that helps... Thanks, just the kind of thing I was looking for! =) Then we're up to 24... Think that'll do ^^

So it's possible to reach 25 wis then... interesting. That would be fun to do just to have done it :)
