So, are we all ok now, or do I need to apologize again to someone?

Sorry I made everyone so angry, just wanted to get more responses I guess....maybe now that everyone hates me, they'll be sure to read my posts..

Seriously, sorry about that guys....I'll bite me tongue from now on.

I've no problem with all these super-waepons. People cheats creating a superhero, others by using CLUAConsole commands, and there was always a discussion if such things spoil the game.

The only thing which I really worry about is this RON-feaver. In his first post he claimed "I learned how to create Custom items".

Sorry RON, but you didn't. Several people work on add-ons on the game. It is an open group, designing new shops, quests, areas etc. For this they develop programs. One of these programs is the item maker, it can be downloaded and used by everybody.
If the gamers use it to not to create new but also unbalanced weapons, okay.

But the editor was developped by others who shares their knowledge for free to create new stories, quests, add-ons for the game, it was not developped that a Ron claims to be the ultimate god of weapon makers.
Use it, but give the honor of solving all problems with items to those people who wrote the program.

To EternalKnight:

Your Ben Franklin story is so sick it makes me want to puke. First, why is the woman faulted when she agrees to take money for sex, but Ben Franklin, champion of virtue, gets off free for offering the money in the first place (equally revolting). Typical sexist statement. I've read plenty of Ben Franklin's quotes, and the guy was obviously a mysoginist pig -- even for the time period. Second, your reasoning is usually described as "slippery slope" in debate circles. Under most people's ethics, a small infraction is not the same as a large infraction; i.e. making a balanced sword is not the same as making a +10 sword. And finally, why the heck do you care what people did with their paid-for game. The argument that this is an artistic creation is bull -- it was created by a group of programmers under the philosophy of making a product that sells. It's great fun, but I actually read an interview with the programmers where they said they were looking forward to seeing what kind of modifications the internet community would make with the game.

Get off your soap box.

The only thing that Ben Franklin proved is that everyone have a price.(something that someone found out a long time ago)
The weapons on the game are found in AD&D adventures and modules(the mighty Blackeazor is not made up, it comes from pluma mountain) so if someone whats so simulate a weapon found out about it, fine let them your "thats cheating" well for you, I like most people here dont find that, Now creating a "sword of instant death that give me all the power in the world" that is.
PS If someone make a very powerful weapon then they sould give some penalaties in that weapon, to make the weapon more balanced.

I must say that you all have valid points. You guys are right about paying for th game and all. I don't agree with some people's opinion, but we're all entitled to it. For those of you that are really mad, I'm only 16! I must also say that if you know anything of Benjamin Franklin's character, you wouldn't be surprised that he offered money for sex. He's actually quite an interesting person. Just wanted you guys to know my position, but to say that I don't mean to offend.

I don't really know to much about this topic but I'd like to tell Seabass that he should be more careful with his responses. The post that says something about "bickering women" is not to flattering and it makes you sound like an inbred ogre. If you really want to hear some bickering just make one more comment like that again and we'll see what happens.

Ron I do believe I will be needing a anti-flaming shield with 100% protection with no save throw. Please send it ASAP. Seabass has opened a can of worms and it doesn't look nice. Image

Eternal Knight,

I'm sorry if I came off pretty harsh. You seem very informed for a "kid" (I'm 26 with too much education). I'm glad that you know a lot about Ben Franklin and think about these things. Too bad that most of our Founding Fathers were a**holes (Jefferson seemed alright).

I will like to say a few things, even though I'm ~45 days late. Image

First point:
People who played 'P&P AD&D' will usually support the idea of not cheating, ie making over-powering items. They play in group and rules are must be follow unless general consensus propose otherwise.
However, some people who play this as a 'computer game' will understand the value of finishing the game first by game rules and do whatever necessary to maximise their money ie replayability. As long as the person is enjoying himself/herself in private, who knows and who cares?
It is similar to swearing. I swear all day unless I don't know the people around me or I know the people will be upset by my remarks.
Basically I will play on a bona fide style as long as there are people to answer to, ie multi-player (BGII or DII) but when I am playing single player, I will only answer to myself and the poor monsters that were made to die (save one). Image

Second point:
Can someone put designer clothing into the game? I am not playing Kensai unless he can wear cool pants/shoes and DKNY tops/jackets (no leather though). Or some really good Versace/Gucci dress for Ladies... Image

What about a sword/katana that shoots out lightning bolt upon hit? Because that will look awesome when dual wield with Celestial Fury. Image
Sorcery and Shadow together as one, the arcane and the dark united. Through our knowledge and skill none can stand against us. We are as one, infallible and invincible. The Shadow Mages.

Hey, did anyone here play Daggerfall? Buggy as hell, but there was one thing that applies...

The game let you make your own magic weapons (once you'd completed about 2000 little buggy quests). The fun thing was that you had to balance it all- the materials you used for the sword or whatever had a certain point value, and so did the abilities you wanted. You could try to get more points by adding demon-souls and so forth, but you were still limited.

Personally, I hope BG3 lets you make the d*mn custom weapons in-game, which would make everyone happy. Except Weasel, but not being happy makes him happy.

You deliberately trying to prove his point, or what?

Do you deny the existence of any such thing as sexual differentiation?

If not, then are you denying that the act of "bickering", in the general, is applied preferentially to the female of our species?
