I lived in wisconsin for a few months and in this town, LAKE GENEVA, i met the man who made D&D, i think his name was GARY GYGAX. Anyways, i say him this store named the GAME GUILD, and there was about 10 kids all playing with this about 57 or something (ancient), i asked who he was (he was the DM of course) and they said that he was the man who D&D. I am not a huge RPGier, but i found it extremely respectable that a man of that age and wealth would still , enjoy, the enjoyment of others imaginations. ANyways i gotta get back to the basement

Nope, I never met the guy, but recently my DM returned from a 9-month service in the National Guard, where he was oversees for most of the year.
When he got back, he immmediately had a return gaming session, and we presented him with a 1st edition copy of Deities and Demigods which was signed by Da Man himself, Gary Gygax.
