Spoiler alert...
I just came back from Hallowbrook hotel, after dealing with the werewolf. Jack's telling me to meet the cabdriver at the other side of Santa M. But as soon as I press 'E' to enter the cab, the screen freezes, closes down to enter Windows, whereafter Vampire is shut down. I tried to enter the cabdriving level through the console, but after two or three questions of the driver, it does the same thing.
Does anyone know what to do?
Or does anyone know if there is a patch which can fix this?
Thanks in advance.

That's an unusual problem. Trying reloading/restarting several times (and letting your PC cool down) is, of course, your best bet.
Make sure you have the most recent official patch (1.2) installed. Likewise, you might give the unofficial patches a try as it's possible they'll help. You can find all the patches here.

Well, I already had the 1.2 patch installed, but then I also tried 1.5. It didn't work. This is what the 'crash txt' says at the top.
vampire caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module mssmp3.asi at 001b:26f05d86.
So maybe it's the mssmp3.asi that causes this?
If there is someone who already finished the game, would that someone please send his mssmp3.asi (which is located at the BIN folder within the VtM bloodlines folder) to:
keononyonn@gmail.com
And if someone sended it, would that someone also be so kind to let me know on the forum?
Thanks in advance.

Code 5 isn't a memory access violation - it's a security access violation. That is, you, as a user, are running a program (VTMB), but your login account doesn't have sufficient authority to read that file. You might try tweaking your security settings, and/or turning off or disabling any anti-virus or security software you might be running on that system and see where that gets you. Have you perchance installed the game on a compressed or encrypted drive? That could do it, too. I am assuming, of course, that you have a legal copy of VTMB. If your copy is illegitimate, then all bets are off.
That file is part of the "Miles Sound System" by "Rad Game Tools" you might try looking them up on the Internet. Maybe they have some useful advice.

might be a file in the graph folder
I made this same reply to someone else who was crashing every time he tried to enter a particular area. I had the same problem entering Chinatown and solved it by deleting the appropriate file in vampire/maps/graphs. In your case, it might
be the sp_taxiride.loc file. Deleting those files don't seem to affect anything,
but you might want to move it somewhere instead of deleting it just to be
safe. Then if it doesn't work, you can move it back.
