Vogga the Hutt quest

Post by AJMBLAZER2 »

I completed Nar Shadaa and had everything pretty much done. I have talked with Vogga before, but still this quest remains. Says something like "mentioning Goto might get him to talk to you" or something like that. I already did this. If I go and talk to him again I get no options to mention GOTO and he just gets irritated and tells me to leave. Glitch?

You already did GOTO's Yacht (sp?)?
Could be that you have to do it before you go there.
Not sure though.

Yeah, did all that and basically finished Nar Shadaa.

Doesn't seem to be affecting anything.

I went back to Telos and talked to the Lt there but no options about talking about the new trade route through Vogga were there.

<<Spoilers>>

Did you get the two Vogga quests (Vogga's hoard from the two thugs in the flophouse by the docks, and the Vogga the Hutt quest from the two thugs in the cantina) and dance for Vogga before robbing him blind, waking him and talking to him about Goto?

If so, there is a bug. You resolve the Vogga the Hutt quest by talking to the door guard to gain admittance. If you have already gained admittance by dancing for Vogga, the the guard won't talk to you. Although you will be able to speak to Vogga about Goto and still advance the plot as intended, you will not be able to move the quest to completed status in your journal, or claim the measly 50 XP it gives as reward.

Basically, you need to make sure you do the Vogga the Hutt quest before you do the Vogga's Hoard quest. Even then there is a problem: dancing for Vogga puts him to sleep, and when you wake him later after destroying Goto's yacht he will have "forgotten" about your conversation and you will have to repeat it. * sigh *

quick translation if you dont want to read the highly intellectual material above. If you do the quests in the wrong order, one becomes unresolveable.

Yeah, that's what I figure. I tried to do it in the right order but may have ended up not doing so.

Help with Vogga Fuel Issue

I'm having this problem and the frustrating thing is that I have gotten the go ahead from Vogga to go to Telos and tell them that Vogga is going to supply the fuel but the journal entry doesn't update so when I go to Telos I can't get the dialog option for the fuel conversation! I'm so frustrated. I go back to Vogga and he won't give me the dialog again. Will this mess up my entire game? Isn't getting the fuel a major issue for that planet and part of my over all quest to set things right? Yes this is very frustrating as I'm way beyond going back. Thanks for any help.

That's exactly what mine did. All I'll say (so not to ruin it for anyone) is so far (I beleive I'm close to the end) all that has happened is a comment from Lt Grenn on Citadel station about it during a later stage of the game. Otherwise nothing, but I'm not finished yet.

I heard that this mission was one of the parts that was not completed due to the rush. But I have a question of my own. I've played this game 3 times, and I can't ever seem to complete do the Vogga's hoard thing. You're supposed to go into stealth and sneak up on the two guys right outside Vogga's door?

Spoiler, highlight to read: Stealth up on the two guys in the flophouse near Fassa, where you also find the Mandalorians, the Ithorian captain, the crew missing their captain, Lootra and the Bith scientist. They will give you the quest.

Then get Juma juice from the cantina barman, and approach the Twilek auditioning dancing girls in the cantina. Offer to dance for Vogga (if female) or volunteer Handmaiden or Mira. Drop the Juma juice in the Kath hounds dish once Vogga is asleep, and rob the place.

The Fuel for Telos quest is bugged (rather than being cut content) in that speaking to Vogga after destroying Goto's yacht completes the quest when it should leave it open for you to talk to Grenn for a reward. There is a fix for this (for the PC version) from the TSL Restoration Project here. It won't work if you are too far on in your game, however.

Isn't getting fuel to Telos part of the main quest? I thought you needed to stabilize the political situation on Onderon, get Fuel to Telos so the TSL restoration can continue so that it can serve as an example to the Republic Senate to continue funding planets damaged during the wars, and then a couple other things I can't think of off the top of my head but GOTO the droid lists them off. Anyway, leaving the fuel problem unsolved seems like a big deal. The frustrating thing is I did get the journal entry to go to Glen and tell him Vogga had agreed to give him the fuel but then the entry disappeared the next time I checked and reverted back to the old one. I went back to an earlier save and could get it to show up sporadically in my tries to converse with Vogga but it would not stay saved that way in my journal.

G0T0 lists certain problems, yes, but they're not the main problems. Several of them coincide with you, but your main quest is to find the Jedi Masters, not help heal the galaxy. Everything else is secondary to finding the Masters, but if you happen to need to do some stabilizing to find them, so be it. And TSL restoration is The Sith Lords restoration, nothing to do with Telos.

Thanks for clarifying the relative importance for me.
I did not mean the TSL but the fuel thing that you need to arrange to keep the planet in orbit.

Nope. After making the agreement with Vogga to ship fuel to Telos, he tells you to go the one in charge(Lt. Grenn), because they're most likely to listen to you. Going back and talking to Grenn, you do not get a conversation option to bring up the fact that you got a new fuel source. As I said before, this part was probably left out of the final game.

have you tried talking to Vogga with the G0-T0 droid following you?
She's got a smile that, it seems to me, reminds me of childhood memories, where everything is as fresh as the bright blue sky.

This really bugs me because it seems like such a little thing to finish when you are talking about the amount of work that went into the whole game. Fix the conversation and journal entry with Vogga and a simple dialog with the station chief and it would be completed!
