where did griff go?

Post by Darth_Xavier »

where did griff go?(possible spoiler)

Ok, I talked to Lena, I went to the czerka office in Tatooine and I asked the Tusken raider leader to free Griff, to which he agrees. Now I go to the room where Griff should be (in front of the Jawas), and there's nobody there. The room is already opened from the first time I came to Tatooine, but that should not change things. Griff is not there, where is griff?

He may have already been released. Try going to the Czera office and look for him there.

Oh, well, I forgot to say that. he's not at the Czerka Office and the questbook says I should free him from the tusken raiders.

You should've gotten the quest to free griff b4 you went to the Sand people enclave and opened his cell, I think. Otherwise you've lost your chance.
Always remember you're unique ... just like everyone else.

Yeah, you can't get him. It isn't a game bug per se, just poor programming. If you open the door to the room he should be in before you trigger his being there, you can't get him later. I did that the first time I played through the game. Sorry.

Actually you're wrong. I had opened the door, and he wasn't there. I then went back to the Czerka office and talked to the lady(Czerka Rep), and she told me he was captured along with other miners. I then went back, and he was standing right there, in the cell, with the door open.

@bishop

Hmm- I had no idea. It did strike me as a pretty egregious bug. My experience was different from yours (as I said), so I hope mine was the anamoly.

I had the problem with Griff being absent (typical Griff).
Maybe he escaped while I was chatting away to the Sand People, and hopefully he got cut down by all those turrets - just what he deserves for losing me a whole bunch of side quests and experience :mad: . AND he's ruined dialog with Mission - all she says now is that we've got to get her brother back from the sand people. Just look at all the trouble that damned Griff has caused....
