Right. The planets can be done in any order. I'd recommend doing Onderan fairly early as well. Probably, the order I'd ultimately recommend is: Onderan, Dantoine, Nar Shada, Korriban (really mainly in terms of pacing the game, rather than any specific advantages). However, ultimately, it doesn't really matter.
Some mild spoilers:
You receive new NPCs on Onderan and Nar Shada (if you're female, you receive an NPC on Dantoine as well). Also, in terms of duration: Onderan and Nar Shada are fairly long, Korriban is very short, and Dantoine is of moderate length. So, perhaps this will help you determine the course you'd like to take.

Or you can be a total moron like me and do both the hardest planets first, starting with Nar Shaddaa...
The following is a spoiler, so highlight: In any case, Onderon is also split into two parts. you have to complete another planet to do it. So I did Korriban in between, the shortest planet. But if you are looking for good lightsaber parts, dont do Dantooine last, like i did, you get a good lightsaber crystal there and some others as well, so if your darkside, do it maybe second or third, if you want the items.

do you get different npc if your male and female?
I decided to hit nar shadaa first and i just got done with the moon planet on onderon and i finally am on the actual onderon planet..
i got hk-47, the t3 guy, mira, visa, handmaidon, keira, atton, mandalore, go-to, and bao-durr...
is that all i can get?
nar shadarr was my first planet i went to after i did telos and it was extremely hard when i went to go-tos yacht.... them droids kept owning me so i had to use the invulnerability cheat... how do i deactivate the cheat? i removed the enable cheat thing from my .ini file but for some reason when i save i get the cheat used screenshot thingy.....

SPOILERS
Yes. If you're male you get Handmaiden, if you're female you get Disciple (if you're male, you meet him on Dantooine, but you can't recruit him).
Similarly, if you're dark side you do not get Mira, but instead acquire the wookie Hanharr.
But, yes, it sounds like you got all the NPCs a light side male can get.

I usually scratch the surface of Nar Shaddaa first. After I escape Telos, I'm two parts away from making my lightsaber. You do the Vogga's horde quest and you get one lightsaber part; usually after that, I've already gotten enough light/dark side points to see Visas talk to her master, so when I beat her, I get the last piece and just waltz right up to Bao-Dur after all the dialogue. At that point, I just go where I want, and I don't go in any particular order. Korriban I do later only because some of the fights there are supposed to be harder, and it's handly to have a few extra levels. Plus, I prefer exploiting the infinite experience bug later in the game so it feels less like cheating. Onderon in my last few games I did last because there weren't as many places to get influence with my people there, so by the time I got to Onderon itself, all my would-be Jedi were Jedi. I probably just finish Nar Shaddaa first seeing as it's the place I'm already at, so I don't have to travel across the galaxy to do something else. And Dantooine, that I do early. All the lightsaber stuff I can find, including the Exile crystal, plus if I'm female I get Disciple.

In conclusion JPN608, Dont do Nar Shaddaa first, if Ds, dont go Dantooine first, LS, you can get most of your parts on Dantooine fairly quickly, Korriban is a short world but Hssiss are fairly tough, and you should wait until later to do the crypt sinch it is tough, maybe come back before you see all the masters or a little before that... and there are tons of tech support sites and other threads on how to get rid of cheats.

I follow the walkthrough order of planets and onderon is the easiest + you get the one part from telos the emitter feature from a cannock and the lens fixture from mandalore so a lightsaber before you have to fight visas

A cannok? I thought everything other than the phase converter in a cannok was randomly generated. Was it one of those lens that you can make on the workbench?
