Once i'm in the ToB game, can I get back to the SoA map? I left alot of goods in my keep. Thanks in advance.

Nope. Watcher's Keep is the only area you can access after you begin ToB, that is accessible from SoA.
Why is it that whenever I finally get around to playing a new game for the first time,
I feel like playing Baldur's Gate for the second time...

If you just started ToB, there's a final save you can go back to and start from. It's right before fighting Irenicus.
