Did anyone else notice this?

Post by Hex92 »

When in the Tanner's house in the Bridge district did anyone else notice the reflection of a woman in the barrel of water in the corner? Or am I just seeing things? I believe it was on the same floor where you originally enter.

Go see a doctor...
Or spend your saturday night on a date instead of imaginating chicks on your computer.
They call it 'frustrated'.
Girls solve it all.

While were on the subject, anyone notice the bald barbarian portrait has a big 'L' in the middle of his forehead? I guess my barbarian has been branded a loser. Vic seems to think so.

I can verify that reflection,it is in the first floor under the one you enter. The barrel is in the top right corner of the room.I can't understand if it shows the face of a man or a woman-i don't remeber exactly but it surely existed.

This in certainly not a hallucination. The only logical explanation for the human face in the barrel-since there is no one standing in front of it-is that it contains a human face skinned by the murderer and put into it.The face had a movement like the one we witness when something is floating on the water.
Perhaps it only shows when you do the skinner quest with a particular way.I gathered all information and then talked to the inspector, who immediately left for the tanner shop.I followed him, exposed the murderer and descended to the floor below where I found the insperctors body in a cabinet.

I finished the quest by collecting the info, confronting the Skinner, killing him (well not him, he got away....for a little while) and his buddies, and then I went and told the inspector. So it doesn't look like its dependent on the way you finish the quest.

I do like your (Bill's) explanation of how the face got into the barrel though. That makes perfect sense.
Are you playing @ 800x600? Maybe everyone else is playing at a lower resolution and they can't see it. Or their monitor is too small Image

I play 640X480 on a 15" monitor.Looks like we are the only ones who saw this face.

I never really noticed ... because it never caught my eye. It might indeed be there, also for me, but I never saw it. I play at 800x600 by the way ...

Next time I'm in that area (could take a while, I just entered the Underdark with my party), I'll drop by the (now empty) Tanner's house, and see if I can confirm the 'rumors' ...
