Training

Post by OZhawk »

I recently got the game and have updated to the 1.3 patch. However, I'm having problems with 2 things: Automap & Training

The automap still doesn't work and I can't seem to train. I have setup as a Fighter class first and Mage 2nd, with Knight and Battlemage as my 2nd tiers. I have completed the Trial of Elders in Arindale but I can't seem to train like it seems, I should be able to. Does anyone have any suggestions or is this just another bug that will be fixed in 1.4? Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure about the automap problem. I've heard a couple people say that it still doesn't work in 1.3, but it worked great for me.

For the training, maybe you could be more descriptive of the problem. If you're in Arindale, and if you've completed the quests for knight and battlemage, that sounds about right. Before you can select your third tier class, you'll have to go on another guild quest, and you won't be able to complete it until after finishing the Arindale sequence.

About the training: When I talk to the guy in the Weapons Hall in Arindale, there is a thread of comment about training. He says something along the lines that all members of the Fighters Guild are welcome to train to improve their skills in the guild, but there is no place to "train." Or in the Mages Guild, there aren't books to read to become a better mage through "training."

The only way to "train" is to take a quest for a new class. Those lines you quoted are misleading. You'll find a few people who will say things like that, who will indicate that you can do things when you can't.

I was kinda wondering about. I kinda thought that might be the case, but wasn't sure. Thanks for the confirmation.

It might be worthwhile 2 check the npc reply's before u click on a question topic. Because u get a new quest without the option off choosing it. The problem with this is that u lack certain knowledge of where 2 finish it if u don't read the part.

U only get it at the start of the conversation and there's no way 2 get it again other then leave him and converse with him again.

Cheers m8 :)

I installed 1.3 patch without previous patches. Maybe it's good idea to reinstall your game and install 1.3 patch right after it.

That's what I did, and I've had no issues of any real importance.
First time through the game tho, I would make sure to actually read everything somebody who may be important has to say. Otherwise you may have to start reading through more of the walkthrough than you want, and end up ruining some of the game. This game is very linear, and if you miss a small part, that has to be finished before you can move on. Even if you manage to get your character to the opposite side of the map.
