I isn´t working!

Post by Milina Jestet »

My computer gets jammed every time I try to enter the Bridge District. Can I fix this?

Just kidding Image, could you describe your problem further?

If the crash only occurs by entering the bridge district, I could imagine that there is an error on CD 2.

How could I fix it? There aren´t any scratches in the CD so it must be in the data-base...how the hell can I fix that?

Have you done a full-install or is the game loading from the CD?

OK. It is possible to copy a single CD to the hard drive and load it from there. I don't know exactly how to do it, but you'll have to add the destination to a config file.

Something like this:
CD1="C:\CD2folder"

Perhaps someone else here knows it exactly.

In the meantime, if you have enough HD space, you could try to copy CD2. You should see then if the CD is unreadable.

I had a similar problem in BG I. The level after the thieves run wouldn't load. I think I ended up having to uninstall and then reinstall the game. That was the suggested fix from technical support. their explanation was something along the lines of 'there must have been a problem during install that corrupted that file'.
Uninstalling doesn't affect your saved game folder so you really only lose 15 minutes out of your day.
