Stuck in giovanni crypts

Post by sumonator »

I went thru the embalming room, acroos the pits, thru several tunnels and am stuck in one. This one I killed the zombies, the room darkens and both doors at each end will not open no mater what I do. I have not killed Bruno, do I need to kill him first before the crypts will work properly?

If you're in the place I think you are in (stairs leading to alcoves along the sides), the door opposite the entrance is only opened when a zombie breaks it down from the other side. Have you tried approaching the other door?

I'm not sure where you are, exactly. You may be in the room where the zombie needs to knock the door down, as vrth suggested. As such, clear the room of zombies and approach the doors. Eventually one of them will knock the door down.

To answer your other question, though, you don't actually have to kill Bruno for the crypts to work properly. The Bruno fight is a strictly optional encounter. In fact, the only reason you should have for engaging in the fight, is if you go "rambo" in the Giovanni mansion.

I had this same problem... there's a room down one of the hall ways, it looks as if there's only one door, but kill all of the zombies in that room and look around, explore the walls if you must, there's another door that leads to a downward staircase.
