Oswald´s Air Ship problem

Post by Darkwind »

I have all the needed components, but still he says "Return when you have all the components." How many normal weapons do I need? I have two.. Does it matter which weapons they are?? It´s really confusing... I had to use dalekeeper to get that Belladonna plant, because I couldn :( ´t find it anywhere.

No - the weapon shouldn't make a difference (not sure 'bout arrows/bolts though)

Are you sure you have the exact components? 2 Diamonds, 1 Bottle of Thyrm Extract, 1 Belladonna plant, 1 piece of Iron, 1 spider silk, 1 pile of wood.
I know the first time I played it wouldn't work because I was using more than one piece of spider silk.

Thats it!! Thanks man :) How stupid was I?? Of course it was just one of each and two diamonds.. I screwed in Ice Temple already as I didn´t kill Oria.. She committed a sucide, so I wasn´t able to tell Nathaniel, that I´ve killed the sisters... Lame! But any way.. thanks again.

Belladonna should be on the Ranger in Andora. There is one room on the upper level which has lots of treasure. Use ALT to highlight the containers.

If it isn't on the Ranger(The annoying one with the crossbow :) ) or the Druid/Panther there MAY be some in the Ice Temple.

I´m sure that I would have found it if it was on the Ranger.. Just checked the Rangers room/cave.. not there.. Druid/panther.. havent killed her :) temple.. maybe.. but I tried to carefully check every room.. Dunno, but as the problem is solved there´s nothing to worry about :)

It will depend on whether you managed to get a meeting with the Ranger. Then, I think Sherincal blasts you off the ridge and kills the panther. Otherwise you do it yourself as they will not allow you to pass through.

But they did... I said in dialogue, that I´ll leave, but then just walked by and I talked my way through the magical barrier.. Only few archers got pissed.. Once I killed them I was able to pass freely.

If you saw Sherincal on that ridge and she killed the panther, that's where you need to go. Look the cloak icon on the ground.
I don't think it's vital to the plot that you repair the ship, it may be done for you, once you rescue Nathaniel.

Theres loads of Rangers near the crash site/ice temple so you need to find the right one....the one with the belladonna...

Ok its no problem though since he's easy to find. You know the city of Andora is entered by going through an archway. If you threaten the Ranger (his name is ILLIUM) Sherincal (the dragon lady) comes and kills his friend (a druid named Odea who can turn into a panther). Either way unless your role-playing...KILL EVERYONE IN ANDORA :p

ILLIUM (the ranger with the belladona) hangs out on top of an ARCH that is the entrance to andora (the city BEFORE the outside of the ice palace area)...

He shoots crossbow bolts from a crossbow called Hagens folly and he summons things. I kill him with chromatic orbs and archery...

IF YOU CANNOT FIND THE BELLADONNA I THINK YOU CAN BUY SOME FROM ZACH BOYSENBURRY (or whatever his name is).
I have all the needed components, but still he says "Return when you have all the components." How many normal weapons do I need? I have two.. Does it matter which weapons they are?? It´s really confusing... I had to use dalekeeper to get that Belladonna plant, because I couldn ´t find it anywhere.
I always use the broken pieces of metal (a broken shield and sword) that you get off the body of the dude who is getting pelted by the giants rocks (Name is captain Yurst). He is above the frost spiders...

You have to give him some kind of potion of healing and also the periapt of wound closure (found in a chest by the Yeti) for him to die and give up all his equipment (kind of odd that you have to heal him in order for him to die....)

Anyways how is it going? Is it solved?

cheers

You're right, myro. The merchant from inside the Remorhaz probably has Belladonna.

I killed them all and Illium had it ;) I don´t Remember if Zach had it.... ´
I have waited for like ages now, slept a weeks in a row and still Oswald says that I have to wait longer... I mean, how long it is gonna take.. And since I screwd that Nathaniels quest of killing the three sisters I can´t use his help either.

How did you 'screw' up killing the sisters?
You don't need to wait for the ship to be repaired. You have to finish the Ice Temple before that happens.

Oria used her Staff Of Power to kill herself, so technically I didn´t do it.. As I engage Nathaniel in dialogue.. It gives me just the choice of " I´ll return when I´ve killed the three sisters" There´s no way around it.. And my last save before that is ages away....

You missed it then. Oria 'kills' herself and soon after appears in an ethereal state and attacks you saying that you can't hurt her. Which is true... for now. Go down to the Battle Squares and engage one of the modes (Ethereal state or something- I can't remember the name) and then you can fight her. After killing her again disengage the mode.
If you have moved out of that area, look around where you fought her and around her room. She should come out of hiding soon enough. :p

Spoiler

Oria isn't dead!!! She breaks the staff but it doesn't kill HER (though its killed my mages on more than one occasion :P ). She runs (evidently invisible) down to the battle square chamber...

Here she puts it in inner sanctum mode (so she can't be hit). What you do then is have someone fast run down to be squares. She will come back to where she broke her staff (or somewhere in the 2nd level) and look for you to kill you! But you can pull the levers to throw yourself into inner sanctum mode also. Then YOU can hit her and pow she is dead as a doornail :)

End spoiler (highlight the black text)

Oh... that was it :) I had a save somewhat near.... Thanks for help. Oh.. and one little thing that made me wonder.. isn´t Drowned Dead undead creatures? As I have this sword that instantly kills undeads when struck(no save).. it has worked on any other undead...

Yep, that's what I meant. Though I don't think she rushes of to the Battle square. Her staff does it for her. You have to go to activate Inner Sanctum mode though.

Drowned Dead are absolutely brutal. I have NEVER disrupted one. Not once. You have three options as I see it...

1) B-squares is ridiculous (and boring). Install the weidu ease of use mod. activate the portion that allows you to beat b-squares without actually fighting (you still get all xp and gear).

2) reload lots. Whenever something annoying comes up reload. Whenever you get a victory by God save the game.

3) run from the drowned dead. You can kill everything else even if it comes down to waiting for a disruption (roll of a 1 on fortitude save). If the drowned dead come up wait for the clock to run out. It might mess up what you were trying to get on the squares (3, 4, 5, 6, or 7).

Only do #3 if you have ages, enjoy battle squares, and are crazy!

cheers
