when you get near the end of the museum quest, where you gotta get past the laser beam things to access the storage room where the sarcophagus is *supposed* to be, is there an alternate way around it?... without letting the guards see you, and having them attack you?...
i just didnt want them seeing me, so the previous times ive done this, i either put in the notarget and noclip cheats to get into the security room, or just went all chainsaw-massacre-y on everyone..

the greatest power is knowledge. and laser-beam eyes.
One option is to attempt to navigate the maze of beams. It requires some good timing, jumping and ducking at the optimal moments, and generally a bit of luck. It's doable, though. You just need to be careful to not touch any of them. If the alarm isn't set off, and you can get through the beams without touching any of them (Take out the black box with a gun or melee weapon; you'll see it on the right side of the wall when you first enter the area where the beams are. It should make the beams easier to navigate.), the door should be open.
Alternatively (and the easier route) is to just turn off the beams at the security desk computer. Obviously, you'll have to break the glass to get to that area and chances are you'll get detected. However, keep in mind that you don't have to go undetected (though obviously if you have obfuscate, this area is much easier) to get the extra experience. You just have to refrain from killing anyone. So, if they shoot at you and you dont' do anything to lead to the death of one of the guards, you're still okay. So, you can use your stun disciplines (if you have dominate or animalism) to keep the guards occupied, or just keep your health up and take some hits while you shut the beams off (so fortitude, blood buff, and celerity all come in handy here...). They generally don't follow you into the next room.

I did it as a Malk using the obfuscate discipline: hitting the box and ducking at the beams.
With the informatin that Faust added about not letting anyone remember you were there, if think (I did not test it yet...) you could simple suck the blood of any guard that come in your way, that way he would forget he saw you.

That would be helpful, but I thought that they wake up immediately after you bite them in combat zones.
As a malk, I ran through the beams, which set off the alarm. But, instead of hurting the guard, I used Hysteria and made him laugh, causing him to drop the key to the storage room.
I'm a malk too, so I guess I'll try that.

Unfortunately, guards do wake up immediately after you bit them in combat zones.
If you are a non-obfuscate clan, then you are either a celerity clan or a clan which has immobilization disciplines. If you're the former, just use blood buff and celerity, and you should be able to take a few hits while eventually hacking the computer (it just may take a few times) and turning the beams off.
If you're an immobilization discipline clan, just keep the pertinent guards occupied while you hack (animalism and dominate both provides means to do this). Again, its very doable, it just can take a few tries. Anyway, if you've got some extra blood bags, they can help you keep healed up.
