No - but, hold on, it gets more complicated.

You start as a brand new character in SoU. However, that character carries over into HoU.

To complicate things further, some of the henchmen who make an appearance in NwN: OC, reappear in HoU (though not SoU).

Make sense? Anyway, you actually can *import* your OC character into SoU. However, to do so would make that adventure far too easy. So, I wouldn't recommend it.

hmm... lets try to simplify :)

by carry over if you only mean its characteristics, inventory gold etc. then yes.. you can save your character and latter use it in SoD and HotD and other misc custom modules but these are like separate games and stories.
Just chill ;)

The emphasis should be on "you can." It's certainly not the default option or the preferred way to play the game. Basically in SoU you start from scratch. That character will then carry over to HoU. If you want to cheat and import your old character or their item and gold from NwN:OC, you can do that.

Just remember - if you start SoU with an experienced character, you all but ruing the gameplay of the module since it is only balanced for a new character. So I recommend at least playing through SoU once with a low level character.

SoU and NwN actually take place around the same time, and HotU is "following" the SoU storyline/character.
You can - as mentioned in the other posts - import/reuse characters throughout the modules as you wish, but as I said - it will seriously reduce the fun of SoU.
