Fakes doors on Oderon (spoiler)

Post by Loumbas »

In the palace (south side there is a small annex inthe large room with royalists soldiers) that has what appears to be a feke door. Also th enext door (where the computer blows up to kill you) also appears fake.

Is it just another case of sloppy prog by the devs?

@Loumbas
Those two areas were most likely rooms that were cut from the game due to time issues, so there is no way to open them.

@Dead!
Where in the stratagy guide do you see it says there are containers in the rooms. If you do see that, you must be looking at the wrong doors.

Cheats wouldn't get you around something like that or even fix it for that matter. And just as a little tip, the more cheats you use the higher the chance that your game will crash and become bugged so you can't play it anymore, or even bug all of your saved games, so its not the best of ideas to use cheats in this game.

Hey, I used cheats for one game, ended up having to reformat my hard drive. (Messed with the refresh rate of my hard drive.) I haven't used cheats since. I am not stupid. I was also joking. I don't encourage cheating. Although it can become helpful. Kotor was better for cheats though. I have all cheats for Kotor 2 and there are some pretty bad cheats in there. I installed this game on my old laptop, used some cheats and caused serious damage to the computer. I know what happens to cheaters.

the only reason I don't use cheats is because it spoils the fun for me.

in the strat guide at the maps for each level, there are red dots for plasteel containers and there are some in the room bbehind the exploding console, i tried everything to get into the room, even get rid of the hacker b4 trying to use thee console and it still blows up, and there is a message even tho the hacker is dead/gone. :confused:

If you know what happens to cheaters why did you suggest that Loumbas use cheats to get around it? Even if you were joking you should have said that in your post, other wise some people might think that they can use cheats and will end up haveing the same experiances you had.

@Dead!
Are you talking about the book stratagy guide? If so, yes the book will tell you things are behind those doors because it was made for what the game was really going to be like for the most part. Close to the end they had to take some things out because they weren't fully complete for the release date.
