Possible to drop quests?

Post by lrgshadow »

I'm trying to do an escourt quest that in-route to one of the core-quests. Thing is i keep killing him cuase he's stupid as hell (why would you hide in the Path of the sword i'm swinging?).

I've tried to run past the area in question but it makes me reload.

There anything i can do?

I don't think there's a way to drop quests. You'd have to go back to a save from before taking the quest.

Escort quests are the worst in Fable. Have you tried telling the guy to wait?

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

There's no way to cancel a quest or boast. Your best bet, if you don't have a save to go back to, is to periodically have the guy wait while you explore the area immediately in front of you (use your map to identify where the monsters are). Do not, however, leave him at the beginning of the area and scout out the whole terrain, that generally will mean he'll get jumped by something. Is this an actual quest or is it an escort mission that an individual trader asked you to do?

Those friggin traders keep coming back for escortquests....
But seriously, the only way for the quest to be dropped is by finishing it. :(
Do you need a silencer if you're gonna shoot a mime?

Another glitch you can do with some quests is take all of the boasts except one. Then Hero save. For some reason no matter what happens all your boasts will succeed.

Works very well with the escort quests in Fable..
